If you buy a used sailboat for refurbishing, there are a few things you have to check in order to know which parts will need replacing. Of course check for leaks, but as well for soft spots !

A nice video on the building of a Dinghy Sail boat, only using common power tools. It’s still a “modest” project, but it shows the steps and first principles of boat making.
Plus, if anyone wants to learn how to sail while learning how to build sailboats, a dinghy is definitely the best way to start both. -
