Check the exciting collection of knowledge and documents across Europe. In the moment the collection displays over 300 pieces, and it is still growing. You can:

    • Look up for pictures and docusments by period (from Middle Ages to Contemporary times and Modern times). Witness the evolution of shipbuilding techniques and designs across the ages.
    • search by country,
    • search by any of six maritime areas (Inter-Mediterranean, Atlantic arc, Baltic, North Sea, Balkan & Black Sea and Islands),
    • or search by subject and language. Whether you’re interested in ship design, construction methods, or tools, our collection has something for everyone.

This is a comprehensive resource for enthusiasts, learners, and researchers interested in the maritime history of Europe. The repository is created by the Erasmus+ All Hands on Deck project (2020-2022) aimed to revive and connect traditional shipwright techniques across Europe.
